After Pentecost, Peter and John heal a lame man right outside the Temple, magnifying the name of Jesus. This causes wonder and amazement among the people and the apostles seize on the moment to once again, make an offering to the Jews to receive Jesus. Important aspects of healing are examined, and the theme of Peter's sermon, restoration of the old, is contrasted with the Jew/Gentile church's theme of "newness of life."
